I miss Asia so much. I just took a look at my holiday pictures in Borneo, Malaysia. It makes me sad. Maybe, I shouldn't come to the UK at the first step. Sometimes, life in the UK makes me depressed. I should choose Singapore. I might have my first house in Johor and I would hold a Singaporean Citizenship in 2015. But everything is too late.
My husband's illness prevents us from moving to Asia. The Condo has not sold yet. Hopefully, he can sell it at the right price. My dreams have collapsed. Maybe it is a better destiny to live in Europe. We choose Cyprus to immigrate there but I don't know how low or high the employment is. I still can work or open a business there but I am unsure if the economy is as good as Singapore. Maybe Cyprus will become another Singapore where the land is scarce.
I don’t have but a few pictures from my military time in Korea and Taiwan, but my memories are strong. And every time I see a westbound aircraft I think to myself…I was on such aircraft many years ago and went to places in Asia that changed my life.
God calls us to where he needs us. Did you ever tell God (like I did) that I will go wherever you need me? You know English now and maybe God has a plan for you in UK. I wish I was in Europe but I am in USA because this is where God called me. He takes very good care of us if we put him first. Tithe 10% and then God promises to "pour down a blessing and our barns will overflow" Trust him. This life is short and then "we fly" to heaven where there are no tears. In the mean time save and buy a summer home in Malaysia.
Oh my I feel for you. I went to Borneo and lived in Singapore also. When I learned the contract was up and had to return to Europe I cried on the street like a proper idiot.
@revenant Yes. I missed everything about Asia, the culture, weather, white sand beach, blue ocean. I might settle in Cyprus as the weather is hot and there has blue oceans and many seafood.
@Ferric67 Penang has a lot of highttech factories. You get an expat salary and live in Malaysia. You will pay 10% to 18% Malaysian tax. Oh my, you will have a lot of disposable income. I am jealous.
@Arrow17 That was my wish and encouragement to you, but you got it as instruction. Either it has to do with use of the language in different cultures, or it has to do with your perception to take things what you often see around yourself.
@KiwiBird Semporna Sabah is very pretty. I may book a flight to go to Tawau and stay in Semporna for 1 week. I see how much to stay in one of the resort. I will visit Bohey Dulang and Mabul island.
