We have a tomato plant on our balcony, in full sun most of the day. We have now had two ripe tomatoes. Last year the tomatoes were small, like cherry tomatoes, this year a little larger. Unfortunately, I did not record what variety they are. They are firm and delicious, almost like mini beefsteaks.

It’s funny, just yesterday I was thinking about fried green tomatoes, which my mother made for me as a child. I haven’t had them in years. Every time I think about preparing them… it’s a bit labor intensive; chopping them up, egg wash, flour, seasoned cornmeal, rémoulade… Have you ever tasted them ? 🍅
