Two towns in Kent.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@Mooed78 That's just marvellous! It's difficult to believe that anyone can be quite so dim!
Shellyy · 41-45, F
@ninalanyon let alone they missed an s in disabled, lol.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@Shellyy Now I'm feeling dim! I didn't notice that, I was too busy feeling superior!

I'll raise you (so to speak). Village in Cornwall, UK

Uncfred · 61-69, M
@SW-User OK, how about "Pratts Bottom" and "Badgers Mount" both near Orpington in Kent.
SW-User
@Uncfred I’ll call with this place in the Orkneys.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
Here’s one from France😂😂😂😂

Convivial · 26-30, F
@Dlrannie the two cocks at the bottom of the sign are a dead giveaway lol
Where i live. These are all real.
Convivial · 26-30, F
@OogieBoogie a Taswegian 🤣
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@OogieBoogie is cummings head just at the end of shag head?
@Mooed78 i think most got named by locals ages ago, and they stuck.

Some are actually named pretty well:
Break Neck Hill is kinda scary to ride, and Sleeping Beauty Range really does look like sleeping beauty asleep,
I can't believe nobody has put in these Pennsylvania towns yet!

Dlrannie · 31-35, F
These villages are in Norfolk 😂😂😂
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@Dlrannie they are not far from Thursford.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
A good thirty or so years ago The Times ran a series of such photos, stopping only when they started to receive false ones, but they produced a book of the best.

With many it's not the name that was the amusing part but some unwitting detail. like a double-bend warning mounted on a pole that itself was double-bent (actually to clear a wall).

Another was of a sign-post at a T-junction somewhere in Ireland. Both arms, 180º apart, pointed to the same town and gave the same distance.

....
There is no public access to Weymouth Bus Station, and for years it had a sign next to the main doors, which I meant to photograph but had gone when I finally decided to do so.

With no evidence of it having been broken or part of any other plaque, it read simply: NO

There are two of note - in Ontario, Canada.

LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
@SW-User Swastika. I was there. Creepy
LOL!!!

Is there, in Kent, a town named "Roy" or something close? In honor of the Ted Lasso series, of course. Maybe towns could take it in turn to temporarily allow themselves to be called "Roy."

Then we could say "Roy, Kent - It's here, it's there, it's every f***in' where Roy Kent!"
KarenDuponteDurose · 46-50, F

Uncfred · 61-69, M
