Selfie or not?

Timer on my iPhone camera. Not always easy but it works out ok in the end.

Always a timer. Only Fools and Horses taught me the dangers of asking a stranger to take a picture.

I use a tripod, Minolta SR-T 101, 85mm prime lens, a nice multiple angle flash and good slower speed film.

To me the 85mm lens is the “holy grail” of portrait photography as this lens allows you to capture compelling headshots from a comfortable distance while retaining accurate proportions of background elements.

Depends on the situation. Asking a stranger would make me a bit nervous, uneasy. But that's just me.

Don’t know how to use a timer on my iPhone so I would ask a passer by

If the picture is to be viewed on a small or just HD screen it is simpler to take video and then extract the frame you want. I just set my mobile to video, start recording and prop it up somewhere. Then I essay several different poses at different distances. Then I stop the video and open it in Google Photos. Now I can use the edit function to save whichever frame turns out best. I don't need to hold a pose or enlist the help of anyone else.

Not a picture taker generally. I take more now with my iPad but don’t ask others to take them and rarely use the timer.

Timer. On a real camera too: that built into my 'phone is so basic it's of limited use.

My phone has trigger words that take a burst shot of 3. Cheeeeese

I use the timer but woid prefer someone else taking the pic

Apparently, I can use my Apple Watch as a remote to trigger the camera on my iPhone, but I never take pictures of myself, so there's that.

I take video instead. Then I save the best frame.

I'm too scared that a passer by might make off with my mobile!
