i'm eager to get into photography again

it's been like... twelve years? sometimes i manage a few okay pics on my phone. but i want to go on my own adventures and really try to learn how to take nice shots

which requires me to push myself to be less shy. it's not corny to sit with a camera and take pictures of leaves and bugs and birds and it's okay if people see me do it. but unfortunately my nervous system thinks i'm going to be torn apart by a screaming chimpanzee every time i'm in public 🤪

i'd also like to go alone. everyone needs to be cautious hiking alone but especially women so i would like my roommate to come just so i'm not by myself but i think he'd get bored and be in a rush to leave which would kind of ruin the experience. so. idk. i'll have to see how that part works out

i think pushing myself out of my comfort zone will be good for me. i think it would be fun and encourage me to see new places. and maybe i can meet some cute critters along the way~

Great photos. You should do it. I’m thinking of getting into it myself, but it’s not something I’ve done before.

@Frostcloud I’m probably going to look into a starter camera, I like spending time outdoors and in nature so it doesn’t seem like a bad idea.

@DHggmu It's the subject and composition that matter most rather than the camera. I have a friend who is quite a photography enthusiast with a very expensive Nikon and correspondingly expensive lenses. But he won a photography competition with a picture taken on his mobile phone.
