@shaneoc or not quite so smart... You have to look at the durability and your usage.. if you use it once a day a cheap one...ok... use it all day...every day... ... i mean whats better for the planet... buying a breaking 3 phones or buying one which last..? There is no correct answer as everybody's usage and reasoning will be different.... as will their expectations of the product...

@Disguised There's cheap ones with long lasting battery life. If you want a phone for calls and texts, that has a good battery life and a decent but not fantastic camera, and can get apps. Then there's plenty of budget options. If you want some phone with the best phone camera, best screens, best processors etc then better to buy one of those, but the prices of them are ridiculous

Absolutely not.

It was one reason I never went over to iphone. Android gave me everything I needed on the phone. If I wanted to take better quality photos for example I have an SLR camera.

I've had a Samsung S20, and I now have a Moto G Pure. They do the same things, and my current phone is about $1,000 cheaper.

$1000 is too much for a phone.

No I don't think so at all. I really think most people only do things on their phone that can be done just as well on any phone on the market now.

@FeetAreFantastic Yep, some of the budget smartphones, android ones, have features just as good as the expensive ones. The prices of some of the smartphones are just ridiculous
