Is adding the word "smart" to a product name a good selling point?

I think nowadays everything is smart, you can find pretty much every imaginable thing in a "smart" variant, like houses, toothbrushes, glasses, furniture... It almost seems outta control, I can barely name anything that doesn't have a "smart" version of it. Heck, there's even smart fabric for clothes
I fear one day my car will argue with me about the route I take to work or my coffee not will disagree with my brew time.
Only people aren't. It's a self-esteem thing - when your toothbrush's IQ is higher than your own...
