@Lostpoet What if they have bad grades because of all your pressure on them leading to panic attacks and skipping class and ending up in depression?
Lostpoet · M
@Queendragonfly then no phone

@Lostpoet So punishment for them struggling? Isn't a phone the kind of support or motivator they need then?

@Queendragonfly I think my kids would tell me what's going on in their lives and i would get them help.

@Lostpoet Dad who looks down on you if you don't perform well enough? I think not. They would fake perfection for you. Since you have never given them a good reason to show the truth. Since it leads to punishment. Just how I see it.

@Queendragonfly I wouldn't look down on my kids.

@Lostpoet But they might feel that way if all you care about is them getting good grades.

@Queendragonfly All I care about is them applying themselves if they show up then they'll get passing grades and won't lose their phone.

@Lostpoet I have worked with kids and everyone with too strict parents, starts lying to them. It's just easier. And they are miles away connection wise too. If anything have happened they have never went to their strict parents in fear of dissapointing them, so they go to teachers, or in worst case scenario, stranger adults...
