If it blocks all the vents it could potentially cause it to overheat. And especially with the obsession with making laptops thinner and thinner thermal issues can become a problem at the best of times.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I don't think my laptop has vents though like there is none on the bottom or side of it

@Thexboxoneguy1991 It should. Some are at the back. I mean the heat the machine generates has to go somewhere. I mean you could use a metal body of a laptop as a giant heat sink but that tends to get people burned.
