My laptop died and now I have a new one

Woke up this morning and the lappie would not start up. Nowt I could do.
Went to a computer store and got me another one.
Of course I lost some information but I have managed to get on line again.
All my pictures are still on my SLR Camera so I never lost them.

Power cord out.

Battery out.

Press power button for 10 seconds or so.

Leave for 10 seconds.

Battery in.

Power cord in.

See if it works.

@Gusman Sorry to hear. Does work in a surprising number of cases. Sorry it didn't in your's.

You're right to follow the other person's advice of getting the hard disk out and examining it through usb?

@Gusman Normally it is just a few screws and a $15 dollar adapter to get access. Naturally, it depends on the value of the information on the computer.
