I need a new laptop...when did they get so expensive ? I

I got an hp years ago, it was like 300$ and it was like top of hp line, more than what i even needed... i just need one so i can write and stream tv and movies. I always get them from Costco! You would think with school about to start back up, i could get a new one pretty cheap but no luck. I hate how expensive everything is getting, or maybe now that im a mom of 3, spending 500$ on myself is something that I am struggling to bring myself to dom

Look into a chromebook if all you are worried about is price and that is all you want to do with it.

@hippyjoe1955 I have a Hatred for Chromebooks but it is what it is for low price.

I've got a stupid Google Phone Pixel 6 or whatever it is. I haven't even use chrome on it I just hate their expansion throughout our lives

@FreestyleArt I'm not a fan of any computer. lol, I have a desktop that is running Windows and a laptop that runs windows and a fun and games chromebook for websurfing. The chromebook gets the most use. Kind of nice how quickly it boots up and pairs with my phone.

@hippyjoe1955 I use windows Dell as well for both Desktop and Laptops that are both re-edit Built. When I got them there was no Google Chrome came with them. It comes with Anti Data Mining software and use Brave. I just hate High Tech Privacy Issues. I didn't have to use VPN since they're not perfect in some ways.

@hippyjoe1955 I use to do that playing downloaded apps when I was young. I use to buy an HP Desktop until.......well it was destroyed by lots of Viruses. It's a learn lesson from that time by downloading so much random apps and learn from them either positive or Trash

@FreestyleArt Yeah I don't download many apps at all. I don't need them. I do like the lack of a hard drive on the chromebook though.
