Some weeks ago I bought a Kingston SSD 2Tb external harddrive from a computer shop in Sweden. Its a very small and lightweight little external harddrive in a nice metallic-red color but with a huge storage-capacity just slightly bigger than a USB-stick. SSD stands for Solid State Disc and has no movable parts inside that can crash with time. I have it permanently connected to my laptop incase I have to store anything. Maybe I buy one more anytime.
I prefer to pay for cloud storage which is accessible from multiple devices - plus I once had a problem with an external device which failed and became unreadable.
@ArtieKat This one you can plug in to your phone or Ipad too. If you have had trouble with one before you should have done a backup copy to another external harddrive and I guess it was not an SSD drive with non-movable parts. Hard drives that has movable parts crashes with times.
