I have found that the cheap wired ones I used to buy, the connector would go in a few months. Wireless ones last much longer, even though you need a change the battery maybe a couple of times a year.
@Matt85 It's just a logitech wireless, I can get the tiny board and switches for about $4, the last one worked for around 5 years, I'll do that again. The switch plates are nice and worn, it takes almost no pressure to operate the switches.

Mine has terrible consumption. 😑 I need to recharge the batteries all the time.
@CrazyMusicLover I use rechargeable double A's, they last for weeks.
