System 10 to 11

Anyone know what I have to do to update to 11, when I try it says my computer is not compatible

It has to support TPM (Trusted Pilot Module) 2.0. That's the big thing. This is hardware based security. Older systems will have an older version of it that isn't supported. You can buy the hardware piece, but it it's a crapshoot if the system BIOS will support it. They also seem a bit sketchy.

@NanciA As far as upgrading to windows 11 yes. You can still use Windows 10 for awhile after the updates stop. You'll just have to play it really safe as it will be less secure.

@Jessmari You can bypass the need for TPM with a simple registry edit. The problem is that the processor of a machine old enough not to have a TPM may be too slow for running W11 decently
