I don't understand why anyone still buys/builds a PC tower anymore

You can get a serious high powered laptop, that can handle the most intense games, for 2k or less. And it's portable. And there are high quality usb powered aux monitors to add screenspace. I guess some people are just too old school to know there are sweet new options.

Any suggestions? My next station will either be a gaming laptop or a desktop. My current laptop became obsolete almost as soon as as I bought it

@Longpatrol Too much RAM is never enough...😷

@Longpatrol I've had a HP victus for like the past two and a half years, excellent graphics and performance, about 1k with a sale. 11th Gen I5 11400H, GeForce rtx 3050. Only downside is the limited storage space. I'm debating buying an external hard drive to store more games

@Longpatrol the basics you need to make sure the laptop has are, the best performing chips currently available, a separate graphics card; not an integrated one, dual cooling fans, a backlit keyboard, and usb 3 with 2 way transfer abilities. And 64 Gig of RAM, at least. That'll last at least 4 years without going obsolete. They weigh like 12 pounds, but they aren't a freaking tower
@come2gether sorry but CPUs and dGPUs in laptops made after 2015 are integrated to the motherboard, gonna have to be more specific than that. Also even low end laptops come with backlit keyboard, and USB 3 is so last decade lmao.
