@deadgerbil I don't know much about the consumer side, although I had one a lot of years ago and it's spent more time in RMA than in my home lol.

It's my experience with HPE (servers), that makes me want to stay away from their stuff. Overexpensive, bugged as hell (had to replace one because after a *security update* it went nuts and decided to keep all the fans at 100% all the time.. imagine working with three-four hairdryers on 24/7), and extremely touchy (to the point that you can't even add an SSD - something that with literally every machine either server or desktop is just a matter of connecting a goddamn cable; unless you buy "HPE" rebranded SSDs; which is basically identical to the original / non-rebranded one, but costs 2x for no reason, aside of course just having a true/false flag hidden somewhere that would allow the firmware to recognize it without messing up 馃ゴ)

Dell/Lenovo FTW (at least for servers / workstations / work stuff)
