Dell is probably my most trusted, from experience. Asus are pretty good too. I think you also need to check particular models, if they match your needs. Also checking independent reviews of the model you choose from trustworthy sites is probably a good idea. Also if it needs to be compatible with certain hardware or software you already have, check before buying. Just my thoughts.
