If you have any kind words to say about Steve Jobs after learning that Apple used (and lets face, probably still uses) child slave labour

I hope your death is slow and painful. Preferably with spikes in all the right places to miss your vital organs and let you bleed out slowly, while you think about how you are alone, not only physically but also mentally, because you're a scummy piece of shit that nobody cares about.

No one in this world gets to become a multi-billionaire without trampling on people's rights somehow, whether they be adults or children. Capitalism is fucked up.
I don’t like Steve Jobs or apple for that very reason and more, but this ☝🏻 is ridiculous behaviour. Act your age.
@Redstar Even if you get the ending you wish on him?

@ShellSeeker If someone supports using children (or anyone) as slaves, or even if they're technically getting paid but it's so little and also forced that they might as well be slaves, then yes, they deserve to die horribly. Again... why am I apparently the bad guy here? Nevermind that children have died working under Apples conditons...
@Redstar You’re not a bad guy, just a child in a man’s body. Maybe.

Unhinged and childish rant but congrats for realizing that the system is fucked and we need to overcome capitalism.

Hopefully you don't own any Nikes.

@MrBrownstone I don't get why people do this. Instead of thinking about the piece of crap who approved of child labour, let's try to make the person talking about it look bad.
Redstar · 36-40, M
@MrBrownstone But for the record, no I don't own Nikes.
Americans insist that capitalism isn't fascism. Americans aren't aware they're causing children to work.
Kind words?
The final solution to humans - Americans in denial.

Don’t buy anything else for the rest of your life.

@SW-User I was mostly just talking about how I felt about a thing. Which is what this place is for.

But the problem is that anytime someone talks about this kind of thing, there's always people who for some reason feel the need to reply with some smart ass remark like yours.
I know a lot of the things we buy were made under awful conditions, to say the least, that doesn't mean we can't talk about it and be against it. You can try to find out which companies are better to buy from but they tend to hide the truth. Apple allegedly doesn't use child labour anymore but I doubt that's true, they probably just got sneakier about it.
It's not like we can't have clothes not made through forced labour, Apple could also continue making their products while paying their workers properly with better conditions, I mean it's not like they couldn't afford to. So we can have a lot of the same stuff and change how we get it. I know I wont be making a difference with this post but if no one ever talks about it, then there's 0 chance of anything ever changing.

And this particular post of mine isn't even about the products so much, it's more about Steve Jobs and people getting all pissy when I dare to mention the fact of what a despicable excuse for a human being he was.

Do you like Steve Jobs?
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Yeah, child labour is absolutely wrong, should be called out and stopped. That was shit on Apple's part... however, if you think Apple is the only computer company that does thus, I have some bad news for you...
Redstar · 36-40, M
@basilfawlty89 Did I say that? No.
Why is there always someone who feels the need to say that other companies do something just as horrible... like somehow I don't know, just because I haven't mentioned every single one of them?
People are allowed to talk about one company or person, regardless of how many other companies or people do the same shit they have.
I really don't know why I apparently need to explain this....
Like, what, I'm not allowed to talk about something bad somebody did just because someone else also did it? 🙄
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Redstar no, but I don't see the benefit of singling out one specific company. If anything, while company is at fault and should be held liable, what it in truth shows is that the system itself is untenable.
Redstar · 36-40, M
@basilfawlty89 I'm not singling anything out. I made this post because of something else I read on here. I was at no point talking about anything other than Steve Jobs and the company he left behind.
If I had been trying to make some kind of point about major companies like Apple but then only used Apple as an example to "prove" my point, then I'd be singling them out. But I wasn't doing that at all.
