I do and it’s just a convenience thing. I love being able to say “add dog food to grocery list” while I’m driving down the road”. I use it to check the weather or the calendar… see how far I have run. I can also use the light to avoid furniture in the dark or even check the time. If I forget my phone, I can answer a call of send a message from it. I honestly don’t know if I will ever get another when this one gives up, but I’ve enjoyed it.
I have it because it’s convenient esp if my hands are full. I check the temperature constantly so I know if it’s too cold or too hot for my kid.
I use the mini flashlight, I check my messages and I answer phone calls thru it if I’m busy.

I use mine every day!

The exercise function measures my daily workouts. I think that’s critical for good health. I do a 30+ minute workout on the elliptical every day to start my day. I don’t stop until I’ve burned over 300 calories and keep my heartbeat in the 130-140+ range.
I also make sure I’m burning 800-1200 calories/day.

I commute an hour plus to work every day (each way). The watch is great for voice texting. It’s not safe to text and drive! By voice texting my eyes are always on the road. I don’t use it much to answer calls, though it can.

I also use the timer function quite a bit for laundry, cooking or sometimes interval training at night.

If mine broke, I’d replace it in a heartbeat.

Wouldn't own one! I wear a watch to tell time, other than ignorance is bliss!
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Fullmetal Aye, and an ordinary analogue or digital watch even displays the time instantly.

I wonder if that concept - immediacy of function and operation - will catch on, giving us, say, portable radio-telephones whose primary function is telephone calls; and as a bonus, sufficiently compact and light to fit a shirt pocket?

(Dedicated alarms with a similar function to what 1234Cardiff describes have been available for a long time, and probably cost much less than anything with "Apple" in its trade-name. )

I have a Samsung Galaxy watch, but it was a present from my GF. Honestly it does come in quite handy though for seeing what a text is or who is calling without having to get the phone out of my pocket.

I have one, a Series 5. More of a convenience thing for sure. The health features are also nice such as steps, EKG, and heart rate. It's a nice to have.

nope, not interested in such rubbish. i'll get me an average watch, that just tells me the god damned time.
1234cardiff · 61-69, M
@Jungleman I felt that too but now at 61 I know if I fall ambo 000 111 999 on the way
ArishMell · 70-79, M
000? Not 999?

Or is that because it is a service that determines your location before automatically ringing 999?
OldBrit · 61-69, M
Nope. But the fall thing is useful and has made me think about it.
1234cardiff · 61-69, M
It actually give peace of mind @OldBrit
MonaReeves86 · 36-40, F
I don’t need it
