New way to stop using a dating app - have the technology make your device and supported app version redundant

My devices (phone and tablet) both run Android 10. A dating app I was trying recently announced it's stopping support for all Android OS's below 13, and canning support for the app versions that can still run on Android versions 12 and lower.

As I am in no position to replace my phone (2018 purchase) or table (2020 purchase) with new devices I get caught up in 'creeping redundancy'.

No loss - the site in question never produced any positive results so the loss is theirs not mine.
