Dead step mother's phone

I have her phone it was given to me by the cops. I no longer want to have this phone in my home anymore I feel like it brings bad luck. What can I do with it I can't even unlock it because it has a pin on it and it's on airplane mode it's an iPhone and there's so many verifications for those I just no longer want to have this in my home anymore. Any suggestions?
