Dead step mother's phone

I have her phone it was given to me by the cops. I no longer want to have this phone in my home anymore I feel like it brings bad luck. What can I do with it I can't even unlock it because it has a pin on it and it's on airplane mode it's an iPhone and there's so many verifications for those I just no longer want to have this in my home anymore. Any suggestions?

They used to have those vending machines if you can still find one to sell old phones... I mean even then you can get a bit of money out of it..

If you want it apple can unlock it if not recycle it

If you take it to the cell provider, they can wipe it and provide it to an abused women's shelter.
