Have you given passwords for electronic devices to someone

I think you can often do a factory reset on them to get round that. The problem is that, after a death, most people tend to think that there's something on the device that they might want to keep/have access to.

If the deceased wanted you to have access to it, then they would have given you the details to get in.

My husband and my BFF and right-hand at work both have all my passwords, account numbers, and directives should such an event take place unexpectedly.

I plan on being buried with my devices. I gotta keep myself entertained in the afterlife somehow and sending random cryptic messages to those who’ve wronged me is how I intend to spend eternity. …just hope the WiFi signal is strong enough six feet under 🤞🏻
