Why can't I join the servers in my new discord account?

When my discord account was banned, I opened a new one, but I cannot join the servers, why could this be? Irrelevant answers will be reported.

Your IP address gets banned along with your account. You'll need not only a second account but a VPN or some other way of presenting a different IP address.

There's also like, eighty bazillion discord servers so finding one where the rules are more to your liking may be teh game.

Maybe it wasn't (just) and account ban, but an IP ban?
