Why can't I join the servers in my new discord account?

When my discord account was banned, I opened a new one, but I cannot join the servers, why could this be?

Your IP address gets banned along with your account. You'll need not only a second account but a VPN or some other way of presenting a different IP address.

There's also like, eighty bazillion discord servers so finding one where the rules are more to your liking may be teh game.
