I guess it's time for a new phone.

So earlier today on my lunch break, I was watching something on my YouTube app on my Android, and suddenly a message came up that said, "Your phone is overheating" and it shut down.

So I waited about 5 minutes before starting it back up. It still operates like it should, but the battery is now swollen and it dies at 60-70%.

I've had it for just over 5 years and was starting to think about replacing it anyway.

Yes, your battery is shot. Do not try charging it again. If you can't replace your battery then you need a new phone. Please do it quickly. Your old battery could explode.
