mobile phones - worst invention ever

this phone is driving me crazy 😤
damn thing wont stop ringing or beeping from incoming texts. No matter how much you ignore it, it never stops.
I dont know how some people live their days with their faces basically attached to their phone screens.
worst invention ever and if I did not have a kid, i would ditch mobile phones for good.
Remember the days you actually had to go to someones house to annoy them? those were the good days instead of this bullshit lol

It’s a different world. At least in America. The expectation is to be available for work calls, emails, texts all the time. I used to resent it, because I have colleagues in Europe where this is verboten. One doesn’t have to respond to anything off the clock. But I’ve come to embrace it. I give all my students and clients my cell number in addition to email. Fast response gives me more slack in the end. I have to drive in less, small problems stay small. And when the phone goes off, it’s dead off.
