My deepest sympathy for your loss. I know you're so devastated. I'm so sorry. Please call Animal Control and have them remove the cat.

I'm not saying you should, but on the other hand, if your dogs happen to be out when the stray comes through, that falls under the laws of nature.
@raysam363 by that logic, wouldn't his cats have been lost under the laws of nature?

@SooperSarah Yep, but Mother Nature is a bitch to all

No. Don't do it. Two wrongs don't make a right. That stray may have something wrong with him or be carrying a sickness. You don't want to pass something onto your dog, do you?
Call whoever is responsible for Animal Control in your area, explain the situation, and ask if they can rid your yard of him. Then leash your pitbull and let him smile as they take the cat away and he watches. (It might make you feel better.)
My sympathies for the loss of two fine pets.

I have never heard of a cat killing another cat. That seems very unusual.

Perhaps it would be best if you called animal services and let them know about this stray cat so that you don’t have your dogs infected if it has rabies

That's a great way to make blood thirsty dogs.
Try a feral trap and animal control.

This cat killed 2 of yours at once?

Shooting it is more humane.
