Why buy dogs xmas presents but not cats?

Also, why do you have to notify someone if you knock over a dog but not a cat?

Why are dogs legally required to be chipped but not cats?

There are a thousand times more dog toys than cat toys dammit! Fortunately, many cats are delighted by the empty gift boxes and tissue paper after they are opened...they enjoy the carnage! Especially if you toss a little of their catnip gifts in the mix.

@Fernie My 2 cats have many dogs toys. They love them the same amount. They also have a wooden treat game thing where they have to lift flaps and all. Its for dogs but they learnt how to do it in just over a month. Although I have no idea what to get em this year.

@BlackcurrentSundae My cat also prefers stuffed dog toys, hates catnip and boxes...I have no clue what to get her either. A package of paper towels most likely...her favorite toy

I brought my cat off the street a week to Christmas last year. I’d say that’s a gift to both of us.

Because we don't own a cat. If we did, we would. hell, when we had guinea pigs they got presents of honey-nut-seed bars. :)

@germanshepard My cats always come over, lie on me and purr when im unwell. Their purring is known in the scientific community as having a healing frequency. My older cat looks after my kitten when I ask her to too. She also keeps her out of the room if I ask her too. My oldest also plays fetch and my youngest walks on the leash. They both come when called and my kitten is so clingy, when I hug her, if I look away from her, she pushes my face towards her with her paw. My oldest sleeps on me at least once a day too and she puts herself between me and other cats if we're outside in a protective manner. Its about how theyre raised. How we are with them. I was raised with German Shepards. Both my cats were supposed to be dogs but I dont have the time to have dogs so I got 2 cats.

I think they do chip cats now if they go through a shelter... just like how they spay or neuter them.

Because everything we think we own belongs to the cat😱
And our cats are all chipped.
Depends on where you live. Neither are required to be microchipped in the U.S., although I know both cat and dog owners who have done so. I didn’t have my cat microchipped because I never let her outside. Possibly other countries don’t require it because there are, on the whole, fewer instances of a stray cat attacking and biting someone. I definitely gave my cat Christmas gifts, though. 🙂

Because they are cats. They are very, very naughty.
Look when the damn thing learns to stay off the shelves knocking all the snowglobes off t and stops eating the tinsle and fairy light cords he gets a present. As long as I have to keep pulling out shiny stringed brown anal beads out it's ass every December he gets nothing.
@MethDozer Whoa!
