Been thinking about my dog-owning history - my first was an English Springer Spaniel, Cherokee Girl. Next was a St. Bernard, Brandywine. Then a cockapoo Rags I rescued from under my Mom's porch after the mama and littermates died. Max, a Yorkie. Lucy, a redbone coonhound who was left on our porch as a tiny baby. Chia, a Keeshund, beautiful and loving but empty-headed. Then Corgis - Clancy and Cassie. Now Chloe, a Corgi-mix rescue - the best of the bunch, and they were all good dogs and good friends.

I like the ones that don't have a pedigree the best. They don't put on airs or treat me like the upstairs maid.

I like lots of them.
Had a Spaniel as a kid growing up. They have a great nature and love fun.
But Labradors; Dalmations; St. Bernards; Olde English Sheepdog; even had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for years until this summer.
