My son adopted a deaf dalmation! She had not been trained at all, and had a tendency to jump up on people, which is why my son won't allow me to visit his home. She is quite a large dog. But they are slowly training her to respond to hand/eye training signals and to treat (smell), training.

@4meAndyou Wow. Your son sounds like an awesome individual. You must be a proud mom

@DarthInvader Yes, I really AM disgustingly proud of him.

He grew up with LOTS of pets, of all kinds, and I think my love of animals of every king sort of rubbed off on him. He has adopted MANY dogs over the years, and once he even paid the air fare for an abused female dog to be flown up here from a puppy farm in North Carolina, Tia. She was terrified of all men, and scared of anyone who moved suddenly, male or female. But she LOVED my son.

@4meAndyou You did well. Excellent mom. I hope you get the recognition and all the hugs and kisses.

@DarthInvader Nope. I see my son very rarely. But he is kind of a high mucky muck at work. He is the Regional IT manager for North and South America. I s'pose he might be a bit busy...🤣🤣🤣
