My neighbor's dog loves me... he knows that I understand him.

He's very sweet and gentle, but when I try to take him home he clamps onto my hand and refuses to let go. Like, it's so obvious he wants to stay with me it makes an awkward situation. It's not play either, he has the most pleading look in his eyes, and he doesn't make a sound...🥺

They treat him well, but it's not a good match, they got the wrong kind of dog. High intelligence with high energy doesn't fit everyone.

@UnderLockDown it is a pity really this dog has taken too you in such a loving way makes it difficult now as it obviously it has owners who obviously love and care for it just as much as you do

@smiler2012 😣 My big, mean, possessive cat doesn't seem to mind him either. I think he knows she's dangerous and they have an understanding, she doesn't chase him off when I pet him.

@smiler2012 Certain dogs seem to like me a lot, it could be that I put effort into reading them.
Not sure how they would react if I gave their dog a gift of word buttons, I suspect he might be able to develop a very large vocabulary.😆
Smart dogs know when you see their potential.
