We've had both in our family and we loved them equally. However, as we get older the smaller breeds are easier to handle and assist if the dog actually needs help. The other advantages may be less intake and less output.
I love ALL dogs, but I prefer small dogs because they're just easier to take care of. I'm not able to lift a large dog into the bath tub, or handle a large dog on a walk. And when they try to sit in my lap, it actually hurts me.
I have a dog named Bean too. I like all dogs but I prefer small dogs due to my lifestyle. I don't have time to walk big dogs for hours and I just find them less obstrusive.
Wouldn't want a small dog if I were to have one. Biologically they are mutants. Like encouraging dwarfism among people.
Cats are at least naturally small. People adopted them in Egypt to keep the rodents down when cats naturally came into the city. They were there for the rats!
My cats are older than me and my other cat is one we got because it was this old ladys but she died so it was homeless. So i didnt pick them out but if we get more i could!!
We had a bandog he was like 45kgs. He died 2.5yrs ago. Now we got a Jack Russell for the little kids. My kids are 7 and 5yr old and kids and the dog are energetic. Ours is not a yapper she just runs in and out the house. Next time if we get another one I'd suggest a Golden Retriever.
I dont like small dogs save for a few different breeds like corgis. Im definitely a big dog person. But i grew up around big dogs so that's probably why. But more than anything im a cat person. 🐈 are my true love 🥰
I'm a golden retriever fan, but little dogs can be cool. Spent a few days visiting friends that have little dogs. They were fun for a while, but then got annoying. Not my kids, so...
I prefer large dogs. Like labs or retrievers, great Danes, etc. Small dogs are often more violent imo. I like calm and collected sweetheart teddy bear dogs
