Anyone else allergic to dog licks?

My lil guy can give me a couple licks and it’s ok, but if I let him groom me my skin scabs over on the spot within 24 hours

Never heard of that! My dog is exceptionally licky and it can be annoying but not a health hazard!

Apparently it’s a thing! I looked it up the other day and it’s like 1:100 people that experience it…reactions ranging from minor itching to actual blisters. @SW-User

@Zaphod42 oh man that’s sad. My dog licks me all over my face so I’d just be one giant blister 😃

@SW-User My palms and fingers seem uneffected so I let him lick there, and he likes to give a couple licks on my ears and neck when he snuggles up, but my legs react badly to it and I’ve got several raw spots where I didn’t realize fast enough what he was doing. Makes me feel bad for him though…it’s how a dog shows love

@Zaphod42 yeah..but he can learn other ways. I mean it’ll be obvious to him that you’re his human.
