I love cats

Some reason my parent's would never let us have a cat or dog at all. That doesn't mean we can love on one of the neighbors cats. We got this one that been hanging out around my mom and stepdad place. My sister she calls the cat fluffy. I so want to pet it. But the cat won't let any of us close to it.

cats demand a different kind of respect than dogs do and that's something i really love and admire about them. when you're financially stable and move out on your own you can research how to properly care for an animal before getting one. they're expensive and require a good chunk of time out of your day- your parents probably didn't want that added responsibility on top of raising you and your siblings back when you were kids

Cats are very independent creatures. They will decide if and when they want to be pretty. Part of getting cats to like you is in respecting that. Get some treats to leave it at a distance and it might warm up over time. Not too many though, since it is the neighbor's cat and not yours.
