Another cat I would meet at heaven.

Last time I posted here about my cat, it was after finding him when he had been missing for 8 months. Today, I lost him forever.

I just woke up to find that he had passed away. Yesterday, he seemed completely fine and healthy. He was a little sleepy last night, but I didn't think much of it since it was bedtime. Now, I feel immense guilt,I keep thinking that his sleepiness was a sign that something was wrong, and I failed to act on it.

I feel so heartbroken and bitter that he was taken away so soon, especially since we only had 5 months together after being reunited. I buried him in our garden today and plan to plant flowers over his spot. I really hope he's much happier wherever he is now

If he died in his sleep near his hume, that is a good death.

My cat suffered from kidney diesease and had to be euthanised when she became too thin to get around.
@Neoerectus Mine had cancer and was in terrible pain. Having her euthanized broke my heart, but seeing her crying and knowing it wouldn’t improve was worse. 😞

@bijouxbroussard Same with Cleo's weakness. Trying to move around bravely, but falling down wobbly was exhausting her. After one such event, it became obvious it was time.

Vet said kidney disease is horrid that way. Basically, cats end up starving to death before the disease itself kills them. She agreed it was Cleo's (Cleopatra) time.

Given her name, I made a 1 foot white concrete pyramid with Gold Leaf top as her burial stone.
She could be bossy as well as sweet. 😏
