Genuine question: how to tell if the cat is going blind or deaf?

Pantera (my cat, not the band) keeps shouting for me when I'm not directly within her eyesight. (An elongated o sound in the meow is cat for "come here")

When I talk to her, she tends to look around to identify where the sound is coming from, unless she's looking directly at me while I talk.

She's 12, aka a senior, but still relatively young, so I worry about her.

Sometimes I have to literally move her head so she can see me. Other times I have to spend several minutes to get her to realize where my voice is coming from.

There have been multiple times where she called on me while I was sitting on the couch responding without her realizing I was nearby for a good while.

If it was only eyesight and hearing that would be manageable, but she has other chronic health issues aswell. Issues that doesn't affect her sight or hearing, but the combination is scary still.

I love and adore my kitty princess, so I worry about her.

Any thoughts? Am I overreacting?

Idk about cats but my dog is blindish already, but it's visible, has like a white layer on top of his eye.

I'm not a vet, but with age, comes dementia in cats too. You should definitely ask a vet for a better opinion, they can check the eyes with tools to see if they dilate properly
I don't know. I would ask a veterinarian.
Poor baby’… hope you get the answers you’re hoping for from the vet. 🥺🤔
