Does your cat 'talk' back to you

No, but the wife does. 😬

Mmmh... Da Vinci 🤤 Biggest brain I ever heard of, which is a good thing (if only he was still alive, or alive now)

To answer your question:

Pantera (my cat, not the band) and I communicate equal parts through sound, body language, and sign language.

Example: If I forgot to change the water in her bowl she'll sit next to it amd wait for me to notice.
If I take too long, she'll do her begging meow whilst stating in her spot.

If I still don't notice she'll approach me and give me a cuddle to get my attention, then look over at her bowl and do a quick little "marrr"

@TheRealBarbossa I love how they just know you understand what they want!

"Dis isn't what I meant!"

@mossyboots Pantera raised me for 11 year in may, and she's done a good job 😊
Yes. Short vocals resembling muttering, if I delay joining him outside

He's got a meow for everything. A " follow me", the "where are you going?", "HELLO!", and his " hi, I've no time to chat".

My cat is a real talker.
@Lilymoon I used to have one that would chatter when she would look out the window and see a squirrel.

@PhoenixPhail mine yaks it up all the time. Especially when you pay attention to her 😸
@Lilymoon They're such funny creatures. 😸

Yes, I love it when they’re talkers. ☺
