Today's distress
My eldest cat is undergoing surgery for an intestinal growth right now. That involves surgically removing the affected section of the intestine and then rejoining the remaining parts. The goal is to remove the growth, but if it is cancerous, it may have already spread, and future treatments like chemotherapy or radiation may be recommended for management, although the long-term outlook can be limited then. They were going to call me admist the operation 😢 How is it possible that the difference between detress and distress is only one word?
