My daughter found kittens in the yard

She came running into the house and she wanted to show me something outside. It was 6 kittens by the shed. I finally seen their mom yesterday. I have seen her around lately. I did call around and no animal shelter will take them. Not really sure what to do with them. I did have her put out some cat food and gave them water.

If they're not eating yet - Use a wet slightly warm wash cloth to diaper them - that means get them to make pee pee and doo doo if they're not doing it, dry them off and use a plastic eye dropper to feed each one tablespoon full of kitten formula, rinse and repeat. You cradle each in one hand and feed them - it's probably on YouTube. When she comes around, maybe she'll be interested in helping - the mom cat.
If feeding works and you get good at it, it's really fun and joyful to do and a useful skill to have!
Diapering is very important, too.
Try an ad in your local paper, people will come and rescue them. Meanwhile, just keep feeding them, you may find space in your heart for a couple. They will keep the mice away.

@JamesBugman my cat is getting a little old and she doesn't hunt like she use to. Not sure what she would do and my dogs if I kept a kitten
@smileylovesgaming they love kittens. They say "baby" with a rapid shake of the head that makes the air swish through the ears, along with a nasal exhale, it's inter-species language for "baby not food". Even tom cats like kittens. Even dogs. You start, then introduce them to your pets.

kinda depends on how old they are. are they weaned? is the mother feral or approachable? the kittens need to be socialized to humans fairly early on.

@Lilnonames I hope we can give them a home before winter.
@Lilnonames You are doing good. Once they grow up they will leave.
