my bedroom door is always open and my kitty sleeps with me...i wonder what would happen if i close it. in the almost 3 years i've had her my door has always been open. she even follows me into the bathroom. i'm guessing a closed door would tick her off

Wants attention and playtime maybe and doesn’t like closed doors. My kitty doesn’t like to be separated from me at night

Could be a mouse. Could be attention.

My cat will claw on the closet door just to see what is in there though. She loves it when I give her such attention.

May be a game. Attention might be what the kitty wants. Try cracking the door open and peeking out to see if it does the same thing.

Maybe he wants you to follow him. He's lonely or has separation anxiety.
