My little Hairy man is at the vet today.

We're lucky they were able to see him on a Sunday.

I mentioned to my mom that I thought he was losing weight, and she just chalked it up to him getting older. But then she noticed how much he's been drinking and how much he's using the litter box, and we discussed it yesterday.

So now he's in getting blood work to see what's going on.

The thing is, he's otherwise happy and energetic, moving around like always, and doesn't seem to be concealing any pain or discomfort. But that's cats for you.

One of our cats has urinary tract issues. They are common in cats. Minerals crystallize in their urine....due to stress or a diet that doesn't agree with them....they can get blockages...or things like UTI's easily. Thankfully they are very treatable but...so expensive 😩😩 omg. We have to have him on a special diet now too. To prevent it. Which is also expensive. There is medicine for it too. Which is also expensive. Lmao. But...they are our babies 🥺

I'll keep you in my thoughts.
I know it's easier said than done, but don't panic.
See what the vet says first, I say this as a chronic overthinker.
