Cat zoomies are adorable!馃樃

She hides behind the couch until I peek behind it, then she dashes out the other side and does a little crab bounce before dashing behind the couch again, waiting for me to peek again. Repeat until she gets bored...馃槅

Missy still plays like that? Awesome!!! My cat doesn't play or do the zoomies anymore. I think he has arthritis. 馃槩

@4meAndyou It was Mamakitty. Took years, but she has shed some of her feral cat behaviors and every once in a while she gets very playful. I feel like it's an expression of gratitude from her.馃馃樆 I'm still the only person that can scratch her on top of her head without getting hissed at, and she lets me hold her without growling.馃槅
@4meAndyou How old is your kitty?

@UnderLockDown 馃┓馃┓馃┓ Awww. My little guy still won't let me hold him...but he nurses on my lap, and allows me to pet him and give him tiny kisses right behind his ear. I think he had another pet parents before he became a stray, and that if probably all that pet parent would allow...so he's pretty well trained for life.

@UnderLockDown He's about 12. He was 6 when I adopted him, and was rescued from a kill shelter in New York by a vet in western Massachusetts.
@4meAndyou I can't go to shelters!! I'm too soft when it comes to animals, shelters make me terribly upset.馃槩 So many needy little animals and I can't take them all.
@4meAndyou Allowing you to kiss him behind the ears is a nice show of trust.馃樆

@UnderLockDown Well, in the case I mentioned, above, the Vet who went to the kill shelter in New York brought all the cats and kittens back to her office in western Massachusetts, and then had an adoption event. But I do know what you mean about shelters. The third ex and I once adopted a little dog named Corky from a kill shelter in Quincy. We were told he was on his very last day before being euthanized. We were looking for a dog for my son, who wanted one very badly.
