When our cat was alive used to ride our great Dane like he was cowbow riding bucking wild mustangs straight out Wyoming.

He would jump on the dogs back, dig his claws in, and hang on till he would fall off and then a fight between the two would start.

Them two were always fighting.

@HumanEarth My aunt & her husband had a cat who would perch up on a long tree limb that was above a sidewalk and wait till a dog trotted down the sidewalk. He would sin those claws into the howling dog’s backs and ride him all the way out of the neighborhood. When he got to the edge of his territory he disengaged his claws and walked back to the tree and climbed back on the limb to do some more of the same. That was when dogs were free to roam the neighborhoods and smart cats knew how to take care of that.

My cat
Named Shadow an 18lb. Ragdoll is dead, but while he lived he knew that I was the Boss and did whatever I said.

He was such a loving and very loyal friend that slept with me every night. He'd chase away the other cats if they tried to take his sleeping spot.
I miss him so.

Rhubarb was but he outgrew it after he got hungry long enough…feral cat problems. Used to try to scratch my arms to ribbons when I would set a plate of cat food down for him. I wish I’d knew it sooner but all it took was one time for me to take the plate of food back and scold him saying he hurt me so he wasn’t going to eat (after making him hunt his own for one summer). He changed his tune within 3 seconds and was rubbing circles around my legs being sweet.

@cherokeepatti i have three ferals and getting them to be non food aggressive was the hardest thing to do but they all three are cool now.

@robertsnj He was just scared someone was going to get him. When he was a very little kitten he found his way through a hole in the bottom of the backyard fence and came into the yard. I heard him crying and walked up and said “What’s the matter, baby?” And then he spit and growled and ran back through the hole to the neighbor’s yard where his mother left him. He wouldn’t let me approach him with food without trying to tear me up. And he wanted that food really bad too.
