How Many Cats are Too Many?

I know someone will say one, but for normal humans
who aren't cold hearted allergic fiends... Is it three? Five? What about square footage or acres? Like if you had ten acres and ten cats, that would be one cat per acre. But if you had five cats in a thousand square foot apartment, you would only have two hundred square foot per cat.

From experience 12 is too many for sure. 8 or so isn't too bad but I think 5 or fewer is optimal. I did like it when they would all come out to join me when they saw me walking back towards the house - a couple of times even other cats who weren't related joined in and then weren't sure what to do when they got to the house! 🤣
