I got a bed for our dog

Years ago, we had to go overseas for my job. We sought homes for our cats who could not accompany. One went to a couple with two dogs that slept on the couple's bed at night.

The first night, the cat established a "new order" by commandeering that bed. Couple told us the dogs were mystified, but compliant.
