I think the kitten doesn’t like me :(

I feel so bad for this kitten. She’s just too scared of me. Accidentally somehow my dog got in the room. She’s honestly not a mean dog and didn’t even do anything. I overreacted and I tried to hold the kitten she jumped from my hands and hid in my tv stand. I got the dog out of the room and I tried to bring the kitten back to under the bed where all her stuff is set up and she hissed at me and clawed me. She’s back under there but I feel I screwed up badly.

Don't go after the kitten. She feels safe where she's hiding - until you go after her to dig her out. The trick is to let her come to you... so think of calm. Sit in your chair and talk to her calmly, verbally reassure her "[Name], You're safe now, the dog is gone".

Break out the treats "If you come out here, you get this" - make it high reward for her (something you know she loves).

You could even try a laser pen on the ground by where she is... she might be curious enough about the dot to play with it from under there if she can see it.

Some cats are known to hide for a while after sudden changes. My cat hid for about a week after we first got her. We left wet cat food under my desk, by where she was hiding so that she was still getting water from her food, even if she wasn't drinking water.

Keep on with the gradual introduction - but bring in blankets that each pet lies on that you then swap every day (so the cat can smell the dog and the dog can smell the cat on the blankets).

It’s ok she’s just not used to you yet 🙂
Just keep feeding her with your smell or scent clearly there and positive reactions as she gets to know and trust you

Thet don't tend to hold a grudge for very long!
How long have you had her?
