Boo-Boo Has Learned To Ask Me “Did You Eat?”…

He seems occupied with it. Sunday the anti-nausea med was wearing off. I didn’t get sick but had mild nausea, was burping when I smelled Ray’s food that I cooked (scrambled eggs with onions and tomatoes) Boo-Boo noticed that I didn’t eat breakfast and he started asking me and several times that day. He still says it. I went to cancer center yesterday to talk to a doctor about possibly getting targeted treatments after having blood tests done. Then shopped at 3 stores for groceries on my way home. I carried all of the bags in the house and put the food up. He started asking me if I ate. I sat down with some leftovers and was eating and he asked me if I had worked. I didn’t tell him this time where I was going. I told him yes I worked going grocery shopping and loading the car and unloading everything into the house. And while I was drinking my coffee substitute this morning he asked me “Did you eat?” Nice to have a pet that is looking out for me.

That bird is amazing. I feed the robins in my garden and one chirps loudly for me to go out to presumably feed him. But when I do, often he doesn't want food, just my company. He follows me all around the garden and clearly loves me. Birds are great. Hope you get well soon x

@4meAndyou The more he expands his language, the better he gets at showing me that he is caring about me.
His awareness and concern are so sweet!

@UnderLockDown It is. Last time he saw that I was taking naps during the daytime a lot. When I’d wake up he would ask me “Did you sleep?” And if I went to my room in the daytime for an hour or more and walked by to the living room he would ask me “Did you sleep?” and he told me one time that he would miss me when he saw me making for to take with me to chemo for the next day. I don’t even know how he knew to say that. But he had overheard me earlier in the evening tell Ray that I was going to make something for me to take to chemo the next day. The next evening I was cleaning up the kitchen after everyone fell asleep and he said “I missed you.” There’s no telling how much pets understand when they hear us talking. And I think they pick up energy from us and get alerted that way too.
