Here are some ways to remove skunk spray from a dog:
Dish soap
Apply dish soap to the dog's skin, being careful to avoid the eyes, and rinse after 10 minutes. Repeat if necessary.
Baking soda
Make a paste with baking soda and water, rub it into the dog's fur, and let it sit for 15 minutes. You can also add a cup of baking soda to the dog's bath.
Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda
Mix one quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup of baking soda, and one teaspoon of dish soap in a bowl. Apply the solution to the dog's fur, avoiding the eyes and ears, and let it sit for 5–10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
White vinegar and water
Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a bowl, apply to the dog's fur, and let it sit for 5–10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Tomato juice
Douse the dog in tomato juice, let it sit for 15–20 minutes, then rinse and shampoo the dog.

Mix two parts water with one part apple cider vinegar, wet the dog's coat, and rub the mixture into the fur. Let it sit for five minutes.

@sstronaut thankyou for that. my friend and owner of the house told me to put a cloth soaked with apple cider vinegar and urine and put it at the the entrance to their den under the porch and they will feel encroached by an unsafe predator. I was actually in the park at 6 am and had an older skunk come right up to me. I've had wild life all my life come up to me so this was not super unusual and I hate to send the legacy of skunks that live under the porch, packing but the dog and house owner seem to want that, so I guess that's what I'm gonna do. Thanks for the good recipe for spray smell though

oh also, she didn't get hit that direct that made her smell overwhelming -she was spitting up but I have definitely smelled way worse. I am gonna bath her and I won't need the tomato juice which I don't have anyway
