Sounds like a stare down, until he hears the krinkling of the treat pouch? My Blackie does the same thing, then proceeds with water and his next grooming session.
@PatKirby I believe that, he certainly chose me, walked up to me wrapped himself around my ankles purring and then into the car carrier without hesitation. 💋
@PatKirby He's a very calm cat normally, I'm so happy he loves his home. Awwww that's too bad, hopefully she's adjusting OK. I often say it's too bad they couldn't talk. Oh their stories would undoubtedly be incredible. 😻☺️
I have two, Blackie is the 😎 cool cat, but Critter fights with him because of territory because she lived here first. Has first pickin's. I know exactly what they're saying by using the Meow Talk app on my phone to interpret what cats are actually saying. You should try it. Tip: cats only meow to humans (for food, water, attention, etc.), not to each other. They growl or hiss to each other.
@PatKirby I'll have to try out the app, sounds quite interesting. I've got 3 other cats, one a male whose still partially feral. Strange how he and Benny have this ritual where they snuggle and ram their faces against each other and make these soft prrrf noises, never growl or hiss. Basically they all get along quite well except when Benny gets too playful and ticks off his female adopted sibling he was raised with (our Maggie).
And a fine, well kept, and proud feline he is. Yes my Blackie's still a bit feral as well and sometimes leaves me a little gift with those skills of his.
This earned him a forever home with us, if he'll have us!😸
@PatKirby Awww those beautiful green eyes, such a li'l beauty.. Well obviously he's a great hunter, guess he's rewarding you with his talent. My kitties stay inside, we're out in the rural area and l lost our beautiful Maine Coon Simba to some beast, shortly after her spay and another pastel calico Nicky to a Fisher. I told myself never again it hurt too much to lose them. Anyway have a good night, it was nice chatting with you. l'm off to write a li'l before I retire. 😊
